Save Hundreds of Hours and Thousands of Dollars in Personal Advancement
Your mind is your most precious asset. You must be continually working to increase the quality of your thinking. One of the best ways is to turn driving time into learning time. Listen to educational CDs or audio cassettes in your car. The average driver, according to the American Automobile Association, drives 12,000 to 25,000 miles each year, spending 500 to 1000 hours that you spend each year in your car. That is the equivalent of 12 1/2 to 25 forty-hour weeks. This is the same as two full university semesters spent behind the wheel of your car each year.

Use Traveling Time as Learning Time
If you did nothing but use that traveling time as learning time, this decision alone could make you one of the best educated people of your generation. Many people have gone from rags to riches simply by listening to audio programs as they drive to and from work.

Attend Every Seminar
In addition, for personal and professional development, you should attend every seminar you can. You can often save yourself 100′s of hours of reading and researching by attending a seminar given by an authority in his or her field. You can learn ideas, techniques and methods that can save you hours, days, even months of hard work and research on your own.

Increase Your Earnings
Remember, to earn more, you must learn more. Your outer world of results will always correspond to your inner world of preparation. Continuous learning is the minimum requirement for success in any field.

First, purchase an audio program that can help you to be happier and more effective today. Begin listening to it immediately. Resolve never to listen to music in your car when you can turn driving time into learning time.

Second, seek out seminars and training programs given by experts in your field. Sit close to the front, take careful notes, and apply the best ideas that you learn immediately.

Parents and coaches there is a good mssage here.  When Miles said to his parents and his coach “I am going to be an Olympic Gold Medallist”  their response was not negative it was “How are you going to do that then?”

If you look at the London 2012 Olympic site they have been working on it for several years but nothing seemed to be happening. They were preparing the ground, laying the foundations and getting ready. Now if you look on the 2012 website you can see the buildings and stadiums taking shape. Well a home business is the same you need to prepare your the ground for your home business.

If you are going to work on the internet you need to find your niche. So get on to the keyword tools on Google and find a niche. Find the key words that are searched. Then try to incorporate your key words into your domain name. A big tip is to try to go for a narrow specific niche so that when people find your site they are ready to buy.

Use the google key word tool  https://adwords.google.co.uk/select/KeywordToolExternal  to help your research. Alternatively typ Keyword tool into the Google/yahoo/etc search bar.

If you need a domain name try 1&1 I have found them very helpful – it is a great experience talking to a help line where the person on the other end actually knows what they are talking about and doesn’t just follow a script.

OK lets be realistic there are a large number of corporate websites in this lot but still there is a vast potential for business on line for us all.

An alternative is to pay for some adsense adverts – you know the kind of things you get on the side of some websites.These can be very effective but you need to know what you are doing to ensure you don’t lose money. Then of course there is the option of joining a traffick exchange such as traffick swarm which is free. The deal here is you have to click on links to gain credits. Your credits are used to direct people to your links. This can get some traffic but probably won’t get you a huge amount of business. It should certainly be considered as a strategy in the early part of a business.

The other thing to do is to make sure your website is something that people will search for so look for the keywords that are relevant to your niche and get them into your titles and tag lines.
